What is the process flow of silica sol precision casting?
Silica sol precision casting mainly produces high-end precision castings, mainly made of stainless steel 304 and 316, and the unit weight of the product is the main supply market. When we all use silica sol precision casting, how do we generally operate this casting?
Silica sol precision casting belongs to investment casting. The general process of silica sol precision casting is as follows:
First, make wax molds (fired molds) with fusible paraffin and stearic acid. And then coat the wax molds with silica sol zircon sands and refractory powder to make mud molds. Dry the mud molds out and put them into hot water to melt the wax molds inside. When the wax molds inside are completely melted, take them out, fire them into ceramic molds and silica sol investment molds are manufactured. When the ceramic molds are fired, a sprue gate must be reserved to allow molten metal flow in. Cool the molten metal down and castings are produced.
